Are you ready for some football ... with Florida Georgia Line? The country duo and hip-hop star Jason Derulo were announced as the surprise artists set to join Hank Williams Jr. as he sings the ESPN Monday Night Football theme this fall.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley will join Derulo and Williams every week during the open for the NFL's Monday night game. The legend is returning after a six-year banishment, so that two others would be joining him was merely a footnote.

Florida Georgia Line say they grew up watching Monday Night Football, singing along to Hank Jr. Derulo said he, too, is honored.

"I feel the opening song sets the tone and energizes the fans before kickoff, and this year I’m putting my swag on it," the hip-hop singer says.

The first Monday Night Football game of 2017 is Sept. 11.

The group will offer up 17 unique versions of the classic "Are You Ready for Some Football?" Williams started introducing the game each week in 1989, but was fired by ESPN after comparing President Obama to Hitler on a Fox News interview in 2011.

Country music is dominating the football space. On Monday night it was shared Carrie Underwood will return to sing the theme for NBC's Sunday Night Football.
