Former Dallas Cowboys DE, and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Charles Haley, recently had some bold words about Tom Brady's Super Bowl wins, calling them "tainted" and that the New England QB "cheated".

In a recent interview with the Talk of Fame Network, Haley was asked who he would choose as quarterback between former 49er legend, Joe Montana or the Patriot's Tom Brady. There was no hesitation at all when he said "Joe Montana".

But, Haley went further - a lot further.

"Joe didn't have to cheat," Haley said. "I've lost all respect [for Brady]. When your integrity is challenged in the game of football, to me, all his Super Bowls are tainted."

Haley still wasn't done, moving on to the controversial "delflategate" scandal.

"You have to say this just didn't happen overnight. Who wants that shadow over them? I could be wrong. But I realize there were 12 balls deflated and 12 ain't. Then you've got [Patriots coach Bill] Belichick coming on three different times trying to explain it. ... You know something is wrong." (via Talk of Fame Network)

Haley, who will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame in August, went on to say that it will all come back to haunt Tom Brady one of these days. Would you agree?

Now normally I don't share my personal feelings on these things in my blogs, but, I feel like Brady is probably one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL - at least a top 5 QB. But, if it was proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that Brady cheated, or at least knew about some of the things the Patriots have been accused of, then yeah, I think there should be an asterisk next to his name. But, it won't take his 4 Super Bowl wins away, ya know? Kinda like how we all know that Lance Armstrong cheated, but we know the dude still won 7 Tour de France's in a row. Yeah, he was stripped of them, but we all still saw him win them even though he broke the rules.

The point is that you can't tell me there is not other cheating going on in all sports. Whether it's football, baseball, NASCAR, or other sports, people cheat. It's just a matter of getting caught.

So, does all of this take away from Tom Brady's skills as a football player? Absolutely not. But, I'll leave you with this: If Tom Brady is proven to be a cheater, which he hasn't...yet, and the NFL let the wins count and he stays in the league, then by gosh, somebody let Pete Rose into the MLB Hall of Fame.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with Charles Haley's assessment that Brady has cheated?

Sound off in the comments section below. And again, somebody let Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame!
