Did Nick Dunne kill his wife in the upcoming movie 'Gone Girl'? Spoiler alert: No, he did not. He said so right there in the trailer. The song playing in the background, a new version of Charles Aznavour's 'She,' does add a sinister veneer to the video, but that's just because it reminds us of the last movie it was in, 'Notting Hill.'

The trailer for David Fincher's latest film gives viewers a glimpse inside the lives of Nick and Amy Dunne, played by Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. The trailer remains vague as to whether or not Affleck's character is guilty of murdering his wife, but not too vague.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name, written by former entertainment writer Gillian Flynn. It tells the story of two out-of-work writers who leave New York City to open a bar in a small town in Missouri. It doesn't take long for the marriage to begin to deteriorate. When Affleck's wife goes missing, everyone starts to wonder about him and what he's capable of.

Fincher, best known for classic movies like 'Fight Club' and 'The Social Network,' was set to work with Sony Pictures to direct a new Steve Jobs biopic, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, Sony executives think Fincher's $10 million upfront costs and his demand for tight control are too much to ask. So they're apparently looking elsewhere for a new director, and we get 'Gone Girl' on Oct. 3.
