While a trip across the pond might be cost-prohibitive, fear not! You can still experience the grandeur of Stonehenge (plus a lot of weirdness and wizard statues) in Natural Bridge, VA.

Foamhenge is a full-sized, styrofoam replica of Stonehenge located on a picturesque hill in rural Virginia, on the border of W. Virginia. It was created by fiberglass sculptor and 'roadside visionary' Mark Cline, who is a total awesome weirdo genius. (Example: he named his home 'Enchanted Castle Studios'.)

Though the original Stonehenge was made of stone and took Druids over 1500 years to build, the foam replica was constructed in 10 days. It is an exact copy, down to the astronomically correction positions of each stone. Since one of the theories of how Stonehenge was formed involved Merlin the wizard there is a statue of him on the grounds, which is an awesome addition:

You'll be surprised and horrified to know that due to the non-biodegradeable nature of styrofoam, Foamhenge will most likely last longer than the original. It's also very well constructed: each block is set into a hole in the ground and anchored with cement, with a 2.5 inch pipe running all the way through; sort of a larger-scale version of the way dentists anchor false teeth into the jaw. Shiver. The signs Mark made to protect his art are also hilarious:

Cline describes Foamhenge as his greatest acheivement, and we don't disagree. This entire area of Western Virginia -- surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and minutes from Natural Bridge -- is worth a trip, but this place is not not be missed.
