One of my favorite singers is slated to perform at this years Grammy Awards show. Glen Campbell will be joining some new comers during a special performance.

When I was little I couldn't say his name correctly; to me he was "Glen Clambell" and I loved Rhinestone Cowboy. As I got older it was Wichita Lineman that caught my ear but sadly this is the 76 year old's last year to perform publicly. He announced last summer that he is the early stages of Alzheimer's and so this will be his last year to tour.

Over his 50 year career he has recorded as many albums. He was at the height of his career in the 60's & 70's and somewhat in the early 80's with songs like Rhinestone Cowboy, Wichita Lineman, Galveston, Southern Nights and Houston.

Campbell  has been asked to join The Band Perry and Blake Shelton for a special performance during the February 12th Grammy Awards. The performance will be a tribute to the five time Grammy winner.

For details on Campbell's latest work and dates for the "The Goodbye Tour" see his website or Facebook page.

We've come a long way since the videos of the 70's but you can't beat this! Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell.
