The Texas League of Women Voters and our local Abilene Public Library are offering a free 'Voters Guide' to help voters make informed decisions. In the statewide race the guide will attempt to have the pertinent information for the primary races. These races include U. S. Senator, Railroad Commissioner, Texas Supreme Court, Civil and Criminal Appeals Courts and State Board of Education.

The voters guide, can be carried into the voting booth and will prove handy, since this years ballots don't list the incumbents. The information in the guide lists, office and selected issues which each candidate was asked to address in less than 75 words. The candidates that didn't return the pre-guide questionnaire from the League, will only have their names and party affiliation listed. Guides are available at all library locations in Abilene. If you would like a voters guide in Spanish, go to the main library or the Mockingbird location.

Do you participate in early voting? Do you think that your vote really counts?
