Former First Lady Laura Bush is Coming to Abilene to Speak at a Benefit Dinner
Abilene's Global Samaritan Resources (G.S.R.) Benefit Dinner is an annual event that's featured some well known speakers in the past, like former Governor Mike Huckabee, comedian Henry Cho, A.C.U. President Royce Money and this year the G.S.R. is bringing in former First Lady Laura Bush. But before you rush out to buy your tickets, there's a couple things to consider.
First, make sure you can pass the secret service background check and second, get ready to lay down $2,000 for a table. Each table accommodates 10 guests and each of the guests will have to pass the secret service background check too. Mrs. Laura Bush is one of the most beloved and admired American First Ladies that has championed key issues in the fields of education, health care, and human rights.
