Florida Georgia Line Breaks Billboard Chart Records with Song ‘Cruise’

Florida Georgia Line came out of nowhere and it looks like they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The duo recently picked up the Academy of Country Music Award for New Artist of the Year and they are breaking records with their hit tune 'Cruise'.

The duo have not just had 'country' success with the song but also cross over success too with the version they recorded with rapper Nelly. The song has been certified double platinum and the album certified gold. Basically that means they've sold a ton of albums.

The song 'Cruise' as been in the #1 position on the Billboard Chart going on 12 weeks now. In the 69 year history of the Billboard Chart never has a song by a duo stayed in the #1 slot that many weeks. Not even Brooks & Dunn can say that.

Most recently Florida Georgia Line have been on tour with Taylor Swift and will soon be heading out on the road with Luke Bryan. That's some pretty good company to be in when it comes to today's country music tours. So look for these to be around awhile and who knows maybe they will be the new Brooks & Dunn. We really haven't had a successful duo since those two went their separate ways.
