Congratulations are in order for Florida Georgia Line: The country duo recently earned a CMA Triple Play Award!

On Feb. 3, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley were honored at the 7th Annual CMA Songwriters' Luncheon. They received the Triple Play Award for writing three chart-topping hits within 12 months: their own song "Sun Daze;" Cole Swindell‘s “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight;” and Jason Aldean‘s “Burnin’ It Down.”

“It’s a true honor as an artist to be a Triple Play winner, to be recognized as a songwriter and to do what I moved to Nashville to do,” Hubbard says of the award. “My dreams keep coming true every day.”

Kelley, who wasn't in attendance at the luncheon, adds in a press release, "To be able to sit down and write a song and then either perform it myself or have another great artist perform it -- well, it’s really its own reward. Receiving a recognition like this is really the icing on the cake, and I’m so grateful.”

To date, Florida Georgia Line have themselves released eight singles that have hit No. 1 on the country charts. All eight of those songs have also been certified at least platinum, with six going multi-platinum. The duo has released a total of 10 singles.

FGL will begin their 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour this spring. More information about dates, ticketing and the tour is available on their official website.
