With Doug Liman recently signing on to helm Guillermo del Toro’s long-developing Dark Universe project, it shouldn’t be much longer now before supernatural forces invade the live-action DC movie universe. Until then, the animated DCU is a step ahead with Justice League Dark, unveiling the first official trailer for their latest R-rated feature — hopefully it’ll be a bit less controversial than The Killing Joke.

If you’ve ever wanted to hear Batman utter the words, “Are you talking about magic? Then we have to find John Constantine,” then Justice League Dark might be for you. In addition to debuting the first official trailer for DC’s latest animated film, IGN revealed a few more cast members, including Jeremy Davies (Justified) as Ritchie, Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars) as Felix Faust, Alfred Molina as Destiny and Roger R. Cross (Arrow) in dual roles as Swamp Thing and John Stewart.

Fans of the short-lived Constantine TV series will be thrilled to know that Matt Ryan reprises his role as the voice of the supernatural detective, who recruits a team of dark heroes — Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Dead Man, and Etrigan the Demon — to defeat sinister forces that are threatening the world.

Justice League Dark also features the voices of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman and Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, and will arrive on Blu-ray, DVD and digital formats sometime in early 2017.
