We’ve seen a handful of teasers and glimpses at Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them already, but the first full trailer has arrived and it’s the most magical one yet, literally.

J.K. Rowling’s spinoff shows us the American wizarding world in the early 1900s as we follow Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander, a British magizoologist who travels to New York City with a suitcase full of magical creatures. When his creatures get loose Newt wraps a No-Maj (a “muggle” in British Harry Potter lingo) into the mix and things go haywire.

The new trailer, which premiered on The Ellen Show on Tuesday and made its way online today, gives a look at some of the movie’s new magical creatures in action. There’s the familiar Honey Badger-like Niffler, the Thunderbird (which a mumbly Redmayne says something about that I cannot, for the life of me, understand), and Bowtruckle, who surely must be a distant relative to Baby Groot. The trailer is also jam-packed with stunning action sequences and clever spells that tie bowties and change Katherine Waterston and Alison Sudol’s outfits. David Yates returning to the franchise to direct Fantastic Beasts is certainly something to look forward too.

The film also stars Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller in a emo-goth boy bowl cut, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman and Carmen Ejogo. It may not feature The Boy Who Lived or a return to Hogwarts, but Fantastic Beasts looks like it will be a ton of fun. Get your wizarding cosplay ready, the movie hits theaters November 18.
