Abilene's only dinner and dance for people and their dogs is scheduled for February 16th at the Abilene Civic Center. The "Fur Ball" for 2013 is themed "Cow Dogs and Cowboys" so wear you boots, hats and blue jeans. A gourmet meal will be served for all the guests, human and canine. The people food will be catered by Perini Ranch Steakhouse and the doggie buffet is provided by Pam's Pets. This is an RSVP event and tickets will need to be purchased in advance. Besides the 'Fur Ball' is a major fundraiser for Rescue the Animals in Abilene.
The Abilene Fur Ball will feature professional pet photographers, pet groomers, live music by Jim Ned Jazz band, a doggie buffet complete with doggie desserts and lots more. Many of the attendees will dress their canine companions some will even wear matching outfits. I think it's the most spectacular pet event in all of West Texas.
This year the Fur Ball is proud to honor pets best friend, The Ambassador to West Texas, Tom Perini and his lovely wife Lisa. Mr. and Mrs. Perini have long been staunch supporters of Rescue the Animals and advocates for pets rights in Texas for decades.

This year the Rescue the Animals will celebrate 15 years of saving animals lives throughout West Texas. If you would like to sponsor and/or set a booth at this awesome yet fun event contact Rescue the Animals founder, Paul Washburn. Sponsorships are available from a "Ruby Sponsor" for $250 to the "Platinum Sponsor" for $5,000. Each level of sponsorship comes with tickets to the event plus a host of other amenities.
