Drake White is a big fan of New Year's resolutions, and in a recent interview with his label, Big Machine Label Group, the singer says it is important to have discipline throughout one's life.

“I love ‘em. I mean people say, ‘Well, I hate resolutions because you never follow through.’ Well, discipline is a big thing that I’ve tried to work on over the years, and sometimes I’m not, sometimes I am. But I think just the spirit of newness and having a new start, we all need that,” he says.

He adds that the world needs hope and for many, music is what provides that hope as well as making new resolutions each year.

“Some people do follow through with ‘em, so I like looking at things in a positive light, and if a resolution is a way to get you to losing weight and get you feeling better or a way to get you to improve your life then I’m all for 'em,” he reasons.

White will be kicking off 2017 with his new single, “Makin’ Me Look Good Again,” as well as launching his first headlining tour.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get out on the road for my first headlining dates,” he says in a press release. “The Big Fire and I are road warriors. We have been playing together for many years so to be out there on our own tour is really special for us.”
