Houston TV station KPRC is reporting that dozens have been injured when the roof of a two-story garage/dwelling collapsed in a Harris County neighborhood. Houston firefighters say they've removed everyone from inside the structure and sent those with the most severe injuries to area hospitals. Neighbors believed a religious ceremony was taking place at the time of the collapse. Arial video shows a first responders triaging the injured.

KPRC reporter Mary Benton obtained a copy of a letter distributed by the homeowner to neighbors saying there was to be a religious celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday with about 150 guests expected to attend. The celebration would include music and dancing. The letter apologized to neighbors in advance for any inconvenience.
