Another Friday the 13th is coming at the end of the week. How does that make you feel?

The superstition that is Friday the 13th dates back to the mid-19th century. For the past 150 or so years, it has inspired a horror film franchise, caused people to call in sick to work and lock themselves in their houses, and always seems to be the scapegoat for anything bad that happens on that particular day.

The fear of Friday the 13th even has two names (no, I'm not making this up): Paraskevidekatriaphobia or Friggatriskaidekaphobia. Take your pick. But is it real?

Does Friday the 13th actually bring people bad luck? While many have bought into the idea that Friday the 13th is a day reserved for bad luck to pile on, others believe that the superstition is nothing but a bunch of hooey. Sure, bad things happen on Friday the 13th, but bad things happen on every day of the year.

I want to know what you think. Take this poll, and feel free to leave your comments at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, and good luck!
