The Dallas Cowboys have announced that they have placed standout linebacker, Sean Lee, on injured reserve.  The move will end his season and deal a major blow to a defense starting to gain momentum this season.

Lee injured his toe in the 3rd quarter of the Cowboys unimpressive win over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.  The injury will require surgery which is why he was placed on IR.  Cowboys running back Felix Jones had the same type of surgery in 2008, and hasn't had any set backs with the injury, so, it's safe to say that Lee will be fine in 2013.  But, he will be missed this year, as the linebacker from Penn State is leading the team with 77 tackles and is the leader of a defense that ranked 4th in the league.

The Cowboys have signed veteran linebacker, Ernie Sims to fill Lee's roster while Dan Connor will replace Lee in the starting lineup, and Bruce Carter will take over as the defensive signal caller.

The 'Boys will definitely miss Lee for the remainder of the season.  Check out some of his best highlights from last year.
