Craig Wayne Boyd has plenty to celebrate these days. 'The Voice' winner's debut single bowed at No. 1 in the country charts in its first week of release, tying a chart record set by Garth Brooks.

Boyd took home the win for coach Blake Shelton and Team Blake just two weeks ago, and he debuted his single, 'My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face,' live during the finale of 'The Voice.' According to Rolling Stone, the hugely popular singer's fanbase has helped him land at the top of the country charts opening week, equaling a chart record Brooks set in September of 2007, when 'More Than a Memory' debuted in the top spot.

The 35-year-old singer has already announced plans for a tour in January of 2015, which is slated to kick off in Nashville with his debut on the Grand Ole Opry.

Boyd is also working on an album for release in 2015, which he says will be in the vein of some of his classic country influences, including Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt and Hank Williams, Jr.
