Texas Music Scene is one of the great TV shows that takes you deep into the heart of Texas country and Red Dirt music. The program showcases the best artists on the scene, and that's why I was thrilled to see my old friend, Cody Riley as a guest.

Riley was featured in the 'Acoustic Motel', a segment hosted by Jack Ingram. Ingram introduces Cody "One of my good friends, Mr. Wade Bowen...was so impressed with this kid's songwriting that he co-produced Cody's latest EP and subsequent full-length album. With a 'never gonna quit' work ethic, and a bag full of good country songs - and I do mean country - I give you this week's featured artist, Cody Riley.".

The segment follows with snippets of acoustic performances of songs from Cody's new CD 'Dozen Dead Roses', including his latest single, 'Something I Wrote' and Riley talking about how the album & some of the songs came together. Cool stuff. Take a look at Cody's feature on Texas Music Scene:
