Cody Johnson says that it was a prison warden that encouraged him to make a change in his life. Johnson says "it was the warden that told me, go play your music and if it doesn't work out, you can always come back."

Thank goodness things have worked out for the East Texas native, as he continues songwriting and recording. But it's his love for performing live that keeps him on the road. Like the two upcoming music festivals where he is headlining both events.

The first is 'Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival' at Melody Mountian Ranch outside of Stephenville, Texas April 20th - 25th. The next is 'Crude Fest 2015' outside of Midland, Texas May 14th - 16th. You can buy your tickets for Crude Fest online.
