After having to undergo surgery, forcing the cancellation of a concert over the weekend, Clint Black is at home recovering. Wednesday on Black’s official Facebook page, the following statement was posted:

“It is with regret that Clint Black must reschedule his previously announced August 18 show at the IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, MS due to a sports injury. The new date has been set for Saturday, November 3. All previously purchased tickets will be honored or ticketholders may get refunds at point of purchase.”

Black is expected to have a speedy recovery and resume tour dates as scheduled beginning September 1. Stay tuned to www.ClintBlack.com for all touring news.

It was not disclosed what the injury was, or whether this is something that happened recently or was something that has gotten progressively worse over the years. It's also possible that Black planned to have the surgery but didn't expect such a long recovery. I’m sure we’ll find out all the juicy details eventually. What we do know is, the missed concert will be made up, and the Houston, Texas native will resume touring at the beginning of next month. Saturday, he posted this statement on Facebook:

“Hey everyone, thanks for all the good wishes and concern. I had surgery on Thursday and I'm recovering well with Lisa and Lily looking after me. No better care in the world! I appreciate your understanding on rescheduling the Biloxi show. We'll be there Nov. 3rd, and promise to make up for the delay.
In the meantime; Questions about "Breathing Air"?... That's a new song to be released with the album I'm currently or at least will be, trying to finish up when I get back on my feet.
Thanks again for all your patience with the patient! ;-)”

Clint’s next scheduled show will be in Mesquite, Texas on September 1st.

Oh, and that ‘Breathing Air’ comment? That’s the new song from the new song that’s expected to be released any time now. The new tune will be on Clint Black’s 19th CD, although there are no details of its planned release date.
