Chase Rice is hungry for the success he experienced with Ready Set Roll, and he feels he's created his next celebratory project with Lambs & Lions

Speaking with Taste of Country Nights, Rice reveals that the album is three years in the making and a project he's proud of. "This is a story that I wanted to tell with this record," he explains. "It's been a long time."

The singer released the EP Ready Set Roll in 2013, which reached the No. 2 position on Billboard's Independent Albums chart while simultaneously appearing in the top 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The EP's second single and title track reached the No. 5 spot on bot the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts.

"It's too long since we had the success of that," he admits, referring to those statistics. "But I think Lambs & Lions is going to bring that back."

One of the tracks Rice is most excited about is "Eyes on You," a catchy piano-based number that he anticipates will be the next single. "To me, that's the biggest song on the album -- and I think it will be the biggest song on the album," he says. "It's really cool to see a big, big song like that. We think we can follow it with 'Three Chords & the Truth.'"

Rice continues on the Lambs & Lions Tour through early 2018 when the tour wraps up Feb. 10 in Atlanta.
