Get Free Tax Assistance From the AARP at the Abilene Public Library

We're fortunate in Abilene to have some IRS trained volunteers from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to help prepare your taxes for you. Every year from February 1st through April 15th the AARP folks are here to help. All you need is your 2013 tax materials such as W-2 forms, Social Security cards and last year’s return. Because of Emancipation Day, a little known Washington D.C. holiday that this year is being celebrated on April 15, US taxpayers had until April 18 to file their taxes.
