s the fourth of July nears, there are a lot of celebrations going on in Abilene and the Big Country. First off, there are two neighborhood parades I'm aware of, the Amarillo Street Parade and the Hillcrest neighborhood parade. The later will take place Wednesday July 4th. Well here we are again, almost July and that means celebrations of all kinds to honor our nations independence. Some of us celebrate with family and friends, just small gatherings and others go all out with huge parties that include the entire neighborhood. Then, of course, there are the public events with family friendly environments and fireworks to top it all off.
