Ron Eckerman spent two years as the tour manager for one of the biggest bands in rock and roll history, Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was there when the band began its ascent to the top of the music world, and he was in the airplane with the band when it crashed, ending the band as we knew it. Eckerman released a book, 'Turn It Up!: Love, Life and Death, Southern Style', recalling his accounts of those two years, as well as the tragic day in October 1977. Recently, Ron took the time to talk with me about the book, the band and a special offer to U.S. servicemen and women.
