Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill Cover ‘How Great Thou Art’ and Receive a Standing Ovation [VIDEO]
I recently attended a Church service where many old hymns, gospel and Christian songs were being played and sung. When I heard one that had my eyes welling up with tears. I heard the clear and distinct voice of Vince Gill and the other I thought might be Carrie Underwood. The song was 'How Great Thou Art' and I'd never heard it before. I thought to myself "I've got to get my hands on that version." In my humble opinion this is the best version of this song I have ever heard, nothing else gets close. Give it a listen and see what you think.
One little set up, the song was sung about a year ago during the CBS-TV special, 'The Superstar Women of Country Music'. Many other country music superstar women were also on the show like Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Naomi Judd and of course Carrie Underwood. While the entire show was great, I think this is the best part of the show and most definitely the most awesome version of the song 'How Great Thou Art'. You know it's got to be incredible when the rest of the country music industry gives you a standing ovation two-thirds of the way into the song. You be the judge and tell me what you think .
