Business Owner With Down Syndrome Serves Breakfast, Lunch & Hugs at World’s Friendliest Restaurant
Tim Harris is a restaurant owner, who just happens to have Down Syndrome. Often times there is a stigma associated with Down’s but Tim is certainly putting those to rest. He not only is the owner of his own restaurant but also a Special Olympian with ‘more medals than Michael Phelps’. Tim’s Place restaurant serves breakfast and lunch like many other places but what makes it unique is the hugs. Tim hugs all of his customers hoping to brighten their day and make them happy.
Most of us have days when we just don’t want to go to work; not Tim. He starts his day early with a ‘magical’ dance in the parking lot. Maybe if we all did a ‘magical’ dance each morning and hugged more we would be happier and going to work wouldn’t be seen as a chore. We can all learn a little something from Tim.
Check out his amazing story here.
