Burger King? Try hot dog king.

The fast food chain has announced that it will begin selling grilled hot dogs on February 23.

There will be two varieties available to consumers: the Classic ($1.99), which comes with ketchup, mustard, chopped onions and relish, and the Chili Cheese Dog ($2.29), which features chili and shredded cheddar cheese. Customers can also order with the fixings they want.

Burger King North America President Alex Macedo says, "We wanted it to be the Whopper of hot dogs."

The hot dog, which had been tested in five cities last year, is expected to remain on the menu at all 7,100 BK's through out the U.S., so there's no need to rush to try it.

And, hey, this news can deflect some of the heat Burger King has been generating with its competitors. And if it goes international, the BK hot dog will add a new dimension when this guy tries to hit all the restaurants in his city.
