Brett Young and Taylor Mills are officially husband and wife! The couple tied the knot on Saturday (Nov. 3) in Palm Springs, Calif., People reports.

Young's father, a pastor, officiated the ceremony, along with Van Hazelitt, the singer's manager and groomsman. Mills wore a gown from Justin Alexander, while Young wore a J. Hilburn tux. Lee Brice and Gavin DeGraw both performed during the reception.

“We chose people in terms of performers that are really important to us and are close friends,” Mills says. Young adds, “If everybody in the country music family could’ve been there, we would’ve asked them all to sing!”

Prior to his nuptials, Young told The Boot that he was largely staying out of the wedding-planning process. "It wasn't a cop-out at all, I just know she's so particular," he says of Mills. "I told her, 'I'm gonna stay out of your way completely, but I promise that anything you do ask for, I'm gonna get it done immediately.'"

Young and Mills got engaged in February, near his alma mater, Ole Miss. They originally met about 10 years ago, in Scottsdale, Ariz., where Mills was a student at Arizona State University. They dated for about six years, even moving to Los Angeles together, but ended up breaking up when Young decided to move to Nashville to pursue his music career.

"There was never any bad blood," says Young." It was just the wrong time for us."

Fortunately, the two got back in touch after Young's career started taking off and realized that they were meant to be. Says the singer, "[We] realized that we were both finally in the same place and knew it was right."

Mills saw Young through the early years of his career, and experiencing success without her just didn't seem right. "t all makes it so much more meaningful," Young admits. "I can't imagine it even being worth it without her at this point."
