Brett Eldredge proved that the ACM voters were right to nominate him this year, giving a strong vocal performance at the 2016 ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night (April 3).

He brought a light and in love performance to the awards broadcast as he sang his current single "Drunk on Your Love," the track which just earned him his fifth consecutive No. 1.

He strolled down the aisle to the stage, passing out flowers as he went, just like in the music video for the single. Eldredge was light on his feet while he entertained the crowd, even when being rained on by confetti. The set for his performance was littered with flowers and bright colors — a theme that set well with the airy, upbeat tune.

The singer is one of the biggest stories of the past few years in country music. He scored three No. 1 singles from his debut album, 2013's Bring You Back, including "Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music" and "Mean to Me." The soulful singer released his sophomore studio effort, Illinois, in 2015, and so far it has netted him two more chart-topping hits with "Lose My Mind" and "Drunk on Your Love."

He recently completed a tour with his close friend, Thomas Rhett, and he's gearing up to hit the road this summer along side Maren Morris as they open for Keith Urban on his Ripcord Tour. The trek will kick off June 2 in Kansas City, Mo., and run through more than 50 cities before it wraps in November.

The singer's vocal chops are so well-respected that he earned nominations in the categories of both New Male Vocalist and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards.
