Bluegrass legend Bobby Osborne is premiering his version of “Make the World Go Away” exclusively for readers of The Boot. The cover features Vince Gill.

Osborne isn’t the first iconic artist to sing "Make the World Go Away," of course. Written in 1960 by songwriter Hank Cochran, the classic song has been recorded by artists such as Eddy Arnold, Ray Price and Elvis Presley in years past; Osborne, however, offers a thoroughly classic, yet updated, take, featuring plenty of bluegrass influence with sparse, plucky instrumentation and timeless vocals. The addition of Gill -- who adds lush harmonies on the chorus -- makes the track even better.

The 85-year-old Osborne, who rose to fame in the 1960s as part of the Osborne Brothers, will release his cover of “Make the World Go Away” on his forthcoming album Original. Gill isn’t the only famous name who makes an appearance on the project: Among others, Osborne's fellow bluegrass icons Del McCoury and Jim Lauderdale join Osborne on vocals, and up-and-comers such as Josh Williams and Molly Tuttle make appearances as well.

Original is currently available for sale at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville; it will officially debut on June 2. Visit BobbyOsborne.com for more details.
