Blake Shelton is not just co-hosting the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards with Luke Bryan, he's also performing -- and what a performance it's shaping up to be. Shelton is slated to open the awards shows on Sunday night (April 7) by performing his new single -- and he'll be joined by a few friends.

Shelton will team up with Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Pistol Annies and Brad Paisley on guitar for the live world premiere of 'Boys 'Round Here,' the second single from his current album 'Based on a True Story ...'

This year's telecast will also feature performances by a slew of country's other top acts, including Little Big Town, Hunter Hayes, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert. Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood will also take the stage, among others. Garth Brooks and George Strait will also perform together for the first time ever in a tribute to Dick Clark.

The 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 7 at 8PM ET on CBS.
