Best Halloween Movies To Watch [VIDEO]

In case you hadn’t noticed, this year is flying by and Halloween is just around the corner. Everyone is picking out their costume and getting their parties planned. So what about those of us who don’t go trick-or-treating and don’t get invited to the cool kid parties? I have some movies that will scare the pants off of you, or at least put you in the spirit. Check them out if you dare.
One movie that I watched once and only once because it freaked me out was “The Ring”. I will never forget the girl crawling through the television. Anyway “The Ring” stars Naomi Watts and Brian Cox and is actually based on a Japanese film called “Ringu”. Watts plays a journalist who is investigating the death of her niece, when she reviews a video tape. The video tape curses the person who watches it, which happens to be Watts and everyone she knows. Once you watch the tape you will die in 7 days. Now she must find out how to save her family from the curse of the tape.
This is the scene where the girl crawls out of the television.
The movie “Seven” would be my next choice. Granted Brad Pitt isn’t bad to look at but the movie is probably more intriguing than Brad’s looks. It also stars another one of my favorite actors, Morgan Freeman. They play detectives out to catch a serial killer who is murdering people based on the 7 deadly sins. Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Wrath,Pride, Envy and Sloth. This is more of a psychological thriller than a “boo!” scary movie.
My next pick for a great Halloween scare would be “The Haunting” starring Catherine Zeta Jones, Liam Neeson, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor. yes, this is a remake of the classic from 1963. A Dr. (Liam Neeson) wants to do a “sleep study”, he has his patients meet him at a house that just happens to be haunted. He tells them about the house’s strange occurrences. What they don’t know is that the it’s not a “sleep study” but a study in “fear”. It’s a very long night in the house and much scaring takes place. This house in some ways “fights back” against them being there. Again this is more of a psychological thriller but it definitely has it’s scare your pants off moments.
Of course, this is just a few of my favorites there are so many scary, thrilling, haunting movies out there and we all have our picks.
