Male grooming product maker AXE catches plenty of heat for its over-the-top ad campaigns. Its 2013 Super Bowl commercial for AXE Apollo is in lockstep with the company’s irreverent tone. The premise: a hot, young babe is being attacked by a shark. A hunky lifeguard rushes into action to save her. How will she reward him? Watch and see:
We’re not sure what astronauts smell like, but it’s probably some magical combination of testosterone, Labrador puppies and diamond tennis bracelets. AXE’s 2013 Super Bowl commercial is deadly accurate. Even if you’ve run the length of a football field, fought through currents and beat down a shark to save a woman in distress, if she sees an astronaut, you’re history, dude.
