‘Kidnap’ Trailer: Is This a Kidnapping Drama or a High-Octane Action Thriller?
The new trailer for Halle Berry’s movie Kidnap starts off about as you’d expect it to. A mother is playing a game of Marco-Polo with her son, who then disappears as she frantically searches for him in a playground. Then, she sees him being shoved into a car by an unknown person who proceeds to drive off with him. But then, Berry gets into her own van and roars off in hot pursuit through the playground parking lot. Is this an action movie now? I guess so!
Henry Cavill’s ‘Stache Is the Star of Christopher McQuarrie’s Latest ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Set Photos
Mission: Impossible 6 is currently filming on location in Middle Earth — I mean, New Zealand, and director Christopher McQuarrie is still taking Instagrams of the cast. Today, McQuarrie posted a fantastic portrait of Henry Cavill in his spy outfit sitting in what’s probably a helicopter. There’s no telling whether he’ll actually be in a helicopter in a movie or if this was taken while the actors were being flown to whatever location they’d be filming in. It is New Zealand, after all.
Compare John Williams’ Original Score for One Key ‘Force Awakens’ Moment to the Movie Version
The best part of The Force Awakens, if I had to pick just one, is probably the fakeout when Kylo Ren is chasing Rey and Finn through the snowy forest, and the lightsaber he reaches for zooms past his face and into Rey’s outstretched hand. I went to see that movie three times in theaters, and every time that moment happened, people cheered. It’s made even cooler by the addition of John Williams’ “Force Theme,” also known as “Binary Sunset” from the original Star Wars. It was adopted somewhat as Luke’s personal theme, but generally signals the Light Side of the Force.
Watch Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe Beat Each Other Up in This ‘Mummy’ BTS Video
Tom Cruise’s The Mummy is the beginning of a new Dark Universe for Universal Studios, and as such is tasked with connecting this film to a bunch of other ones in the franchise. The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, and a bunch of others will soon be hitting the big screen, all under the Dark Universe umbrella. So, what fits them all together? The plot device — I mean, the Prodigium, of course.
‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Clip Introduces Us to Nova
War for the Planet of the Apes is important for two reasons: it’s the last in this current prequel trilogy, and its events will finally catch this series up with the original Planet of the Apes by introducing another key character. You might’ve noticed there’s a young human girl in some of the trailers. That’s Nova, the mute woman we meet in the original film who becomes Charlton Heston’s human companion.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Has a Shiny Belt Buckle in The Rock’s Latest ‘Rampage’ Set Photo
Dwayne Johnson really wants us all to know that he’s currently filming his newest project, a video game adaptation of Rampage, about a trio of oversized beasts who go on a, well, rampage across a city, and only a few brave souls can stop them. Those brave souls, this time, are The Rock himself, Naomie Harris, and The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who appears in Johnson’s latest Instagram from the set.
Someone Robbed the Largest Privately-Owned ‘Star Wars’ Collection on Earth
The owner of the largest privately-owned Star Wars memorabilia collection in the world, known as Rancho Obi-Wan, has announced today that it has been systematically robbed over a period of many months from 2015 to 2016. Steve Sansweet, who offers tours of the ranch and its many pieces of Star Wars history, says that not only do the items taken make up about $200,000, it appears to be an inside job.

Chris Hemsworth Tells Us How He Really Feels About the Avengers in an ‘Infinity War’ Set Video
Chris Hemsworth seems to still have a bit of a chip on his shoulder from being mostly excluded from Captain America: Civil War. Sure, he gets to be back with his buddies for Avengers: Infinity War, but he managed to take a little time during a break on set to work some of his frustrations out.
‘The Little Hours’ Green Band Trailer: Good Lord, This Film Is Going to Be Hilarious
The nunsploitation film seems to be making an odd comeback recently — with even Paul Verhoeven catching the fever and announcing his lesbian nun movie Blessed Virgin — and nothing looks more promising than a ton of comedy greats banding together to make a raunchy, hysterical version of Bocaccio’s The Decameron, replete with clergy members throwing around f-bombs and nuns throwing around turnips.
Disney’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Ride Takes Place in Its Own Marvel Universe
Guardians of the Galaxy—Mission: Breakout! is the first Marvel themed ride to hit a U.S. Disney theme park. The plot: visitors must help the Guardians escape from the Collector’s fortress, in which they’ve been imprisoned. The ride was built within the repurposed Tower of Terror and features six unique ride experiences and a hallway full of Marvel Easter eggs. It’s also part of its very own Marvel universe, separate from the movies.
Tom Cruise Just Confirmed ‘Top Gun 2’ Is Happening, May Start Production This Year
Some days it seems like a new sequel rumor hits the Internet every day. Whispers of Top Gun 2 have been floating around the stratosphere for a few years, with the movie even getting a screenwriter at one point, Val Kilmer vowing to return, and even a mysterious meeting with Jerry Bruckheimer. Sometimes, because of timing or lack of resources or myriad other reasons, sequels just don’t end up happening even if they’re hyped. But today brings good news for Top Gun 2 hopefuls: it’s definitely happening, and Tom Cruise himself says it’ll start filming within the next twelve months.
