It's easy to be a fan of the hometown team. I know, because until 2006 my son and I were lucky enough to have our favorite teams around our hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan showing on my TV regularly. And I would be able to go see a game in person from time to time. Now that I've moved to Abilene, I'm left out of the loop. I can't make a day trip to see my favorite teams anymore. A growing number of children are being diagnosed with autism and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The last figure I heard was that 1 out of 110 children is diagnosed with ASD. With more and more children being identified to have this neurological disorder, the need for additional research, education and other resources becomes more and more necessary.
