We'll admit that the first time we saw a team wear a throwback uniform, we thought it was cool. But these days it's just gotten out of hand. Seemingly every time you turn on a sporting event, one of the teams is wearing some sort of alternative jersey. So what's the point?

Does the team benefit? Probably not. It's just another way for the professional leagues to squeeze money out of fans. The sad part is, too many are willing to pay for them. Think of all the money that could be saved if teams just wore one home and one away uniform—you know, like the old days.

The sad part is that most of them are just plain ugly. Pittsburgh Steelers, we're looking at you.
