Annual Hardin Simmons Easter Egg Scramble Set for April 3rd

What is in essence an Easter egg hunt for college kids, has been dubbed (by the Hardin Simmons University students) the 'Egg Scramble'. The eggs (approximately 1,400 eggs) will be hidden inside of the Richardson Library on the HSU campus. The eggs are stuffed with great prizes too.

According to organizers, most of the eggs will contain candy while another will have $100 gift card. The Easter egg hunt doesn't officially start until the Bunny Hop dance is completed. The dance is led by "The Brand" editor, senior Kelsie Nygren of El Paso .

Elizabeth Worley, professor and associate director for public services in the library, says this is the second year for the library egg hunt. “We learned last year that more eggs would be needed this year, that’s why the Egg Scramble committee has worked to stuff 1,400 eggs with prizes ranging from candy to a $100 Visa gift card.”

The hunt will encompass all three floors of the Richardson Library. “Students will have to choose a floor to start on and they'll have to work their way around the library,” Worley said.

Approximately 150 HSU students are expected to participate. The hunt is open only to HSU students, this is the second year for the scramble.
