Anita Cochran has released an uplifting video for her song "Fight Like a Girl." The country singer wrote the powerhouse anthem as a response to her personal battles, and to inspire listeners to fight the demons that they face.

After being diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer, Cochran battled the disease with everything that she had. This attitude is showcased in the video, primarily shot in a boxing gym, which demonstrates the singer's physical strength and symbolizes her mental strength during the long journey. A particularly empowering moment of the video is when Cochran removes her hood and proudly shows off her bald head. Press play above to see the full video.

"An emotional, powerful anthem for anyone going through a battle," the description on the video reads, "Anita was inspired to write the song from her battle of breast cancer, but she hopes this song helps many people through what ever battle comes their way. This video was shot 2 weeks after Anita's last round of her heavy chemo treatments. She was very ill but managed to fight through it. Always fight, never give up."

Cochran, who rose to country music fame in the '90s, has been documenting her experience via her blog for nearly a year, sharing every new medical development and stage of her recovery. In July of 2018, she told the Tennesseean that her illness had broadened her purpose as an artist. "Fight Like a Girl" is available for purchase now.
