The American Pool Players Association (APA) and Slix Billiards are holding an 8-ball pool tournament on Saturday and Sunday October 20th and 21st beginning at 12 noon both days. The Alliance for Women and Children will be the beneficiary. Get ready to rack them up (Shay Hill told me to say that) for breast cancer awareness. Here's how to sign up and get your pink and white 'Shoot for the Cure' T-shirt.

Derriel Smith with the APA says that there will a lot of prizes as well as plenty of food and drink during both days of the tournament. All entry fees and money donations will go directly to the Alliance for Women and Children. A pink pool cue, pink North Face hooded top and a pink Dallas Cowboys jersey are just a few of the offerings for winners and participants.

Toni Brown with the Alliance for Women and Children says "we are very appreciative of the American Pool Players Association and all the paticipants for again bringing attention to the cause and for all the monies they've worked diligently to raise for the Alliance.
