Amber Leigh White is putting some tough times behind her by hitting the river in the fun new video for her new single, "Float."

The singer-songwriter landed a deal with DreamWorks shortly before the label closed in the early 2000s with a very personal song titled "Easy Lovin' You," which was inspired by her real-life story of getting pregnant at the age of 17. After that label folded, she turned her attention to a career as a songwriter, writing songs for artists including Luke Bryan and Gwen Sebastian.

She married songwriter Phillip White and they raised a family, but in the last year she found herself with an empty nest as her kids are now grown, and she and White amicably divorced. She has thrown herself once again into pursuing her passion for music, releasing a new single, "Float," and a new album, Straight Lines.

"Float" is a laid-back, carefree song about letting life's little problems melt away during a relaxing day on the water, and White headed for the river to shoot the fun-filled video, which intermingles footage of her and some friends chilling on the water in inner tubes with shots of her singing the song with acoustic guitar in hand.

White wrote and produced the songs for Straight Lines, which she hopes will serve as an inspiration to others who are navigating life's highs and lows. She plans to donate 10 percent of all of the revenue from Straight Lines to select women's charities to help other women get through the struggles in their own lives.

Straight Lines is available for download at iTunes.
