All The Dirt in Red Dirt: Boland Got Married, Wade’s in a Magazine and Kacey Musgraves is Going on Tour with Lady Antebellum

Its been a few weeks but Rita Ballou is back with All the Dirt in Red Dirt! And yes, I’m late posting this. But remember even though this Dirt is stale, if you ain’t heard it yet — it’s new to you. Last week Rita told us about Straggler No. 1 tying the knot, Jason Eady’s big tour, Wade Bowen’s “slick page coverage” and about East Texan Kacey Musgraves going to Europe with Lady Antebellum.

In happy news, Jason Boland and his fiance Mandy tied the knot last Monday. It was a private wedding in Eureka Springs. Congratulations to the newlyweds, see the newlyweds here.

Jason eady is going up, up up

Things just keep getting better for Jason Eady. The release of his new album AM COUNTRY HEAVEN has earned national rave reviews, chart action on both the Billboard and Texas music charts.

It’s now been announced he’ll be going on tour this summer with legendary group Flatlanders: If you aren’t familiar with the group they were formed in 1972 in Lubbock, Texas by Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock. They performed through 1973 before disbanding. Very cool story, you’ve got to read the entire story! Do that here.

wade bowen is featured in this week’s country weekly

Wade Bowen got some slick page coverage for his 14th annual charity golf tournament/concert in this week’s issue of Country Weekly. His annual show raised bigger money than expected, surprising even Bowen. To read more Pick up the Country Weekly magazine with Josh Turner on the cover.

kacey musgraves is bringin’ her “lady-a game”

East Texan Kacey Musgraves will open for Lady Antebellum in select cities on their record-breaking “Own The Night 2012 World Tour” in Europe this summer.

Kacey said “I feel so lucky and excited to be going out on the road – and halfway around the world – with Lady Antebellum,” And she added “I’m gonna bring my Lady-A game!”

Lady A’s Charles Kelley said “she is a really talented singer/songwriter, and we’re just big fans of her music”

Musgraves is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on her debut album, which she is co-producing with Shane McAnally and Luke Laird. Her debut single will be released later this year.
