Alan Jackson's honky tonk highway never ends. The country legend has announced additional dates for his 2017 Honky Tonk Highway Tour in cities across the U.S.

The tour launched on Jan. 20 in Tulsa, Okla., with its final date originally scheduled for Oct. 28 in Minneapolis, but due to popular demand, Jackson has added 13 new dates. He'll stop at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Mich., this week and follow with shows in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Green Bay, Wisc. The expanded tour keeps Jackson on the road through late fall, wrapping up on Nov. 4 in Texas. Lee Ann Womack will continue to serve as an opening act on the cross-country trek.

The country legend received one of the genre's greatest honors in 2017 when he was announced as one of the newest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame along with Don Schlitz and Jerry Reed. Jackson had no idea he would be bestowed with the honor until he walked into what he thought was a business meeting, but was actually a press conference surprising him with the big news. He joins fellow legends like Dolly PartonRandy Travis and Glen Campbell in the Hall of Fame.

"Just to think about, most of those are heroes of mine. You look at all that, and you don’t feel like you’re worthy to be in here with them,” Jackson tells the Boot. “It’s crazy to think that your name and your face will be on the wall.” The official induction ceremony will take place in the fall of 2017.
