Adam Driver is Driving Us Crazy on ‘Girls’ – The Daily Swoon
We’re dedicating the entire week on The Daily Swoon to the men of the TV series ‘Girls‘ because the second season premieres on Sunday, Jan. 13, and, well, because we feel like it. Have you seen these guys?
First up: Adam Driver — more like A-Daaaaamn, if you know what we’re saying.
Driver plays Adam Sackler, Hannah’s sorta-kinda boyfriend on the HBO series. At first we were all like, no way, this guy is a total jerk and she could do so much better. But then we got to know Hannah’s flaws a little better, and it became pretty clear that our opinion of Adam was being formed only through Hannah’s perspective. Turns out, he’s actually a really good dude — just sort of weird and goofy, and we’re into it.
Adam is a seasoned thespian who’s appeared on stage in several acclaimed plays, so he brings some serious acting chops to the set of ‘Girls.’ He also landed a small part in Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln.’ I counted. He’s on screen twice and has like, two lines of dialogue. But he gets to talk to Lincoln, so that’s pretty solid.
He’s not conventionally hunky (well, his muscles are), but there’s something very attractive about him. He feels like someone you might really date, and not some cardboard cut-out of what we should be tripping over ourselves to want. He’s basically like the marriage of the stereotypical muscle-bound hunk and the down-to-earth real dude you end up going out with, meaning he’s pretty much perfect.
And also: THOSE HIPS ARE INSANE.
