Abilene Wylie Coach Hugh Sandifer to be Inducted into THSCA Hall of Honor August 1st

KEAN 105 will bring you all the action when throughout the Abilene Wylie Bulldogs 2012 football season, which kicks off on the road at Argyle on August 31st. This year, the Bulldogs will be taking the field led by a new member of the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor. Head Coach Hugh Sandifer, in his 33rd season at Wylie, and 26th year at the helm of the football program and as athletic director, will enter into the exclusive THSCA club.

Sandifer's official induction will come at the end of  the THSCA's annual convention and coaching school, which takes place July 29-August1 in San Antonio.

Sandifer, in his years as Wylie head coach, has amassed 223 victories. His teams have made the state playoffs in 19 of the past 20 years. And in his time with the Wylie program, the Bulldogs have played in the 3A state championship game 3 times, and won it all in 2004.
