Abilene Quilters Guild Hosts “Stars Over Abilene Regional Quilt Show” June 1-2

Quilting is an art that is most often passed down through generations although there are many reasons for taking up the craft. We have some wonderful craftsman(women) in Abilene and they will be displaying their works June 1-2 at the Abilene Civic Center.

For the last 18 years the Abilene Quilters Guild has sponsored the regional quilt show. Not only will you see some beautiful works on display done by local quilters but there will be a variety of classes, vendors, door prizes and more during the two day event.

Saturday, June 2 (10 am - 5 pm)

Cost:

$5 per day or $8 for both

$4 for seniors 65+

Children 12 & under; Free

24 vendor booths for shopping (kits, bolt fabric, books, patterns, notions, etc.)

door prizes

display of quilts

classes featuring new tools and techniques

chance to win a large bed quilt "Fresh Air" quilted by Patti Jackson and pieced by Carolyn Davis (proceeds from raffle benefit Food Bank of West Central Texas)
