Abilene Philharmonic Presents “Lights,Camera…the Oscars!” Saturday, February 23rd

The Oscars will be presented on Sunday, February 24th but on Saturday, the 23rd you can make your way to he Abilene Civic Center for "Lights,Camera...the Oscars" presented by the Abilene Philharmonic. They will be accompanying guest artists Michele Ragusa and Sean MacGlaughlin.

Ragusa and MacGlaughlin both come from Broadway with extensive resumes. The evening will be celebrating the great songs that come from Academy Award winning movies. Selections for the evening will include music from Titanic, An Officer and a Gentleman, Rocky, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Chariots of Fire and many more.

Ms. Ragusa has Broadway credits that include Young Frankenstein, Ragtime, Titanic, Kiss Me Kate, and many more. MacGlaughlin has appeared on Broadway in Phantom of the Opera, Lestat,Bombay Dreams and has Off Broadway credits in South Pacific, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Children of Eden and more. He has also made film and television appearances in Something the Lord Made, Trading Mom and Great Performances:South Pacific.

With this level of talent the show is sure to be a wonderful experience and something not to be missed. Show time is 8pm at the Abilene Civic Center. Hurry and get your seats to this almost sold out show!
