"Oh, I'm so over calling my mama / Yeah, and all my friends are tired of hearing all my drama / Sitting at home in my pajamas / When I got a new dress hanging in my closet," the first verse opens, with lyrics that speak to a new resolve following a breakup. Next, a rousing chorus takes over: "Yeah, tonight I'm gonna dance away my broken heart / My broken heart, like I never even loved him / Throw my hands up when the music starts / Shake off these scars / Like he ain't got nothing left on me / Gonna find a new rhythm 'til I forget him / Gonna move on 'til the memory fades," Anderson sings. "Yeah, tonight I'm gonna dance away my broken heart ..."

The video follows Anderson in the recording studio and on tour as she performs for live audiences and signs autographs. Ballerini posted about the new song on her own Twitter account: "Loved writing this and love that this cutie cut it and made it sound so good. Check it out!!" Ballerini tweeted.

"Dance Away My Broken Heart" will be included on Anderson's debut EP, titled I'm Good, which is scheduled for release on Sept. 7. The album will also include the artist's debut single "Make Him Wait."

Anderson is one of The Boot's Artists to Watch for 2018, and will be a part of Brett Eldredge's The Long Way Tour beginning in September. She will be joined by another Artist to Watch, Devin Dawson.
