Country music was huge in the 1990s -- there's really no other way to say it. Thanks to the massive popularity of artists such as Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, who earned superstar status by becoming icons not just in country but in music in general, the genre's popularity exploded during the final decade of the last millennium.

The Dixie Chicks, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, George Strait -- all of them and many, many more had success in the '90s. The decade brought country fans music from major names we still love today -- Kenny Chesney signed his first record deal in the first half of the decade -- and also introduced us to artists whose music is a time capsule of those years. Oh, and don't forget the line-dancing craze -- people were all about line dancing in the '90s.

Loving the '90s is on-trend right now, but let's be honest: We've never stopped loving '90s country. This playlist of country classics from the decade could go on for-ev-er, if you ask us ... but, well, we had to stop somewhere.

Invite your friends to "Come on Over," and get ready to feel like you "Should've Been a Cowboy" as you press play on these 100-plus country tunes from the '90s. Man! We still love 'em!
