The Abilene Animal Shelter (aka Pound) just had 85 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies dumped on them all in one day. In the past week, nearly 400 dogs and cats found their way to the Pound, so now there's a greater need to find these pets homes right away. So, the City of Abilene is reducing their adoption fees on every animal. Rescue the Animals, SPCA is offering a mail-in spay/neuter rebate good at any veterinarian. In a sense this is an "Emergency Adoption Sale" where the price of a pet is cut in half. Check it out

With a huge jump in animals being turned in by their owners in recent weeks, it has created over-crowding in all the kennels, now the Shelter desperately needs help in finding homes for these awesome little critters.
