After chatting with Scott Avett of the Avett Brothers about the band's new album 'The Carpenter' and the emotions he was feeling when he wrote his share of the songs, he was patient enough to answer a few questions that are a little... well, silly.

The father of two shared that he has a television character he's sick of and a celebrity that once rendered him starstruck. We also learned that he's been mistaken for a famous British comedian and even dreamed of a career on the other side of the radio. The singer answers all of our nosy questions during the latest round of 60 Seconds With...

60 Seconds With Scott Avett

Question 1: You once majored in radio broadcasting, what type of radio did you want to do?

AM radio. No, I shouldn't say that. I wanted to do old commercials -- like they used to do back in the old times.

Question 2: When was the last time you were starstruck?

Bob Dylan, I suppose. Yeah, Bob Dylan.

Question 3: What was your first job as a teenager, and how much did you get paid?

Labor for my father's welding company on a bridge. I was 15 years old, told not to speak with OSHA if they came on the job site, and I guess I was paid $8 an hour to swing a hammer.

Question 4: Which children's character (that your kids love) are you sick of?

Well, we're a little weary of SpongeBob.

Question 5: Have you ever walked out of a movie?

Nope, never.

Question 6: What famous person have you been mistaken for?

I've been mistaken for Shooter Jennings and Russell Brand. It's pretty embarrassing when somebody yells "Shooter!" and you turn to them and they're confused and you're not saying anything to them [laughs].

Question 7: Have you ever woken up in jail?

I've woken up with the police over me, and I have... Unfortunately, I have been to jail.
